THE SHOW: LIVE ON TOUR
In 2024, Niall Horan embarked on a monumental world tour for The Show, performing 89 sold-out concerts across five continents. ECHOCAT, as musical director, collaborated with Niall to create fresh arrangements that honoured his folk roots while reimagining his catalogue with new instrumentation and transitional moments.
A self-composed talk show-inspired intro piece set the scene for Niallʼs opening songs, with his commanding vocals and guitar playing at the forefront. A more intimate acoustic section with violin, mandolin, lap steel, and piano followed before the band returned to close the show with arrangements showcasing the scale of the production and Niall's magnetic stage presence.
We also worked closely with special guest performers along the way including Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Lizzy McAlpine, Dermot Kennedy, Angus & Julia Stone, Ashe and Julia Michaels.
Vevo Extended PLay
In July 2023, Niall Horan recorded his “Extended Play” series for Vevo, featuring reimagined versions of songs from The Show.
Filmed in the Hills of Calabasas, each episode begins in a central space that moves through different locations. ECHOCAT worked with Vevoʼs creative team to reimagine arrangements to match the evolving visual environments.
We arranged strings for the session, enhancing the emotional depth of The Show and bringing excitement to On A Night Like Tonight. A standout moment was the stripped-back version of Meltdown, where acoustic guitars and four-part vocal harmonies, provided by LA’s top session singers, created an atmosphere perfectly captured on film.
